Yes, of course. We're sorry to hear that you want to close your account but it can be done at any time by following the below steps:
1. Turn off auto top up.
2. Ensure your balance is £0 by returning all money to your cards. You can do this by logging into your account, select your wallet, in the top right hand corner of the wallet you'll see a drop down arrow, select this, and follow the return money steps.
3. Contact bPay via Secure Messaging, or if you'd prefer you can drop us a text message on 60194. If text message isn't for you, send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter.
Once your account has been closed we will send confirmation of this to you by email.
No. You don't need to have a Barclaycard or Barclays bank account. You can add money to a bPay account using any MasterCard or Visa debit or credit card, registered to a UK address.
It works in the same way as a contactless card. It's safer than cash and just as secure as chip and PIN.

You can keep track of your spending in the bPay app or by logging in to your online account.
Yes. For individual journeys, just touch your bPay device on the Transport for London (TfL) card reader as you would use a contactless card or Oyster card. You will also benefit from standard daily and weekly fair capping as long as you use the same device for all of your travel. You can't apply season tickets, child tickets and discounts to your bPay device.
We recommend that you keep an eye on your bPay balance so that you have enough funds to cover your fare. We also suggest that you register your bPay device on the TfL website to keep track of your journeys.
As with any other contactless payment method, if you travel without enough funds your bPay device may be stopped by TfL temporarily. You can contact TfL on 0343 222 1234 (call charges may apply) to assist you if this happens.
Remember, setting up auto top ups may be beneficial when using TfL.

All bPay devices have different expiry dates.
You can view your expiry date in your bPay account. Go to 'Devices' in the main menu and select 'view secure information'. This will then show the expiry month and year of that device
You must report a bPay device lost or stolen as soon as possible. We will then block the device so it can no longer be used. In your bPay account go to 'Devices' in the main menu. Then select 'Report lost or stolen' and follow the on-screen instructions.
If you suspect a transaction is fraudulent, contact us using one of the options below under 'Still need help?'.
We will refund the transaction whilst we investigate. It's important to note that if your claim is not successful, we will reverse this refund.
If you lose your device, or it is stolen, you will need to purchase a new one.
